Exo Digit: Designed for you

We believe that a prosthetic should be a seamless extension of you. That's why the Exo Digit range focuses on creating bespoke, lightweight, and incredibly easy-to-use prosthetic fingers. Designed for both adults and children, our prostheses help those with a congenital or acquired finger absence to get back to doing the things they love.

Our Exo Digit range offers three different prosthetic solutions, each one a perfect fit for a different level of finger absence. Beyond these, we also have the expertise to create custom, multi-digit variations for individuals who have experienced the loss of more than one finger or a thumb.

How our prosthetic’s work

Exo Digits are bespoke prosthetic fingers created to restore both the length and function of a missing digit. The secret to their movement is that they are body-powered. This means you control the prosthetic joints yourself, using the natural movement from your remaining finger length or hand anatomy. We achieve this with clever synthetic tendons or a multi-joint hinge system that allows for smooth, intuitive operation.

  • Meet the Exo Digit P1

The Exo Digit P1 is our unique solution for those who have experienced the loss of a fingertip and the first joint of a finger. This prosthetic is crafted using advanced metal 3D printing, making it both lightweight and durable. As the original and only metal articulating prosthetic digit in the UK, the P1 is a trusted and reliable choice, available in either stainless steel or anodised aluminium.

  • Exo Digit Reality Finish

Now with a lifelike finish, the Exo Digit P1 is the first of our prostheses to feature a high-definition silicone finish option. It combines the functionality of the 3D-printed metal articulating section with an incredibly realistic fingertip, offering a seamless blend of performance and lifelike appearance.

Introducing the Exo Digit P2

For those who have lost their fingertip and the first two joints of a finger, the Exo Digit P2 offers a fantastic solution. Made using advanced 3D printing technology, you can choose from a range of materials including plastic, stainless steel, and anodised aluminium to suit your needs.

To make it even more discreet, the P2 can be finished with a high-definition silicone cover for a truly lifelike appearance.

Exo Multi-Digit: A bespoke solution

For individuals with more complex needs, the Exo Multi-Digit range provides a tailored solution. We combine the functionality of our Exo Digit prostheses to create bespoke, body-powered devices. These are controlled by your remaining hand and wrist anatomy, providing a natural and functional grip.

Specialist Solutions for Complex Needs

For individuals with complex bi-lateral finger and thumb loss, the Exo Digit range can be fully adapted to provide specialist prosthetic solutions. Our team works with you to create a bespoke design that is functional and tailored to your specific needs, on both hands.

Intuitive movement

We believe that a prosthetic should work with you, not against you. That’s why every Exo Digit is designed to be incredibly easy to use, allowing you to carry out everyday tasks intuitively and with confidence.

Wrist activation

The Exo Digit P2 uses a wrist anchor to power the prosthetic joints, allowing them to move intuitively. This design means you can use your remaining finger length and knuckle to create a natural flexing motion, enabling you to grasp and hold objects.

Stabilisation ring

For individuals with a short remaining finger length, the stabilisation ring fits around the adjacent finger. This simple design improves control and helps to create a more secure grip on objects.

We believe that a perfect fit starts with you. That's why every single Exo Digit is custom-made to your specific measurements, because we know that everyone comes in different shapes and sizes.

Our clinical process

Because every Exo Digit is a bespoke medical device, a clinical assessment is required. This is carried out by a certified prosthetist who will also deliver your final product. At Exo Prosthetics, we're proud to offer a complete clinical package, with our service covering the entire country—from your first assessment right through to delivery.

Our design process

When you order your prosthesis, we use 3D CAD software to create a bespoke Exo Digit based on your unique anatomical information. Once the design is finalised and double-checked by our team, we use state-of-the-art 3D printing technologies to bring your new Exo Digit to life.

Quality control

Once the 3D-printed parts arrive from manufacturing, we carry out additional quality control checks to ensure all dimensions and thicknesses are correct. Only when we are completely satisfied is your Exo Digit assembled and prepared for delivery.
